Coming from humble beginnings in Bullitt County, Mark realized at a young age that helping people was his true passion. After watching a close family member go through a painful bankruptcy, he decided that becoming a financial planner was his dream and made a promise never to let that happen again to someone in his life. At that moment, a financial services career was born, and he now strives to help clients avoid the pitfalls of poor decision making, pursue their lifetime goals and enrich the world through their legacies.
Prior to forming Lamkin Wealth Management, Mark was named Top Representative for nine consecutive years based on assets under
management for a financial services firm in Louisville, Kentucky. Over the last 10 years, Lamkin Wealth Management has vaulted to become one of the leading firms in the state of Kentucky according to Barron's Magazine. Mark and his wife ,Jennifer, have two adult children, Zachary and Sydney. Mark donates his time and money to many charities, serves on numerous boards and is an avid outdoorsman. He is a member of Southeast Christian Church and is an avid supporter of Blessings In a Backpack.

Best piece of financial advice received: The strategy to become wealthy is completely different than the strategy to STAY wealthy. One must take risks to become wealthy, focus on maximizing returns and often times, take very concentrated risks in themselves via their business or investments. Once wealth is achieved, your goals shift to minimize risks, control your allocation and put a financial plan in place and follow it!

What motivates Mark: Making the people around me better- family, clients, staff, friends…. I know if I focus on making those around me the best they can be, make them the most money, make them the happiest, and help them be more successful than ever before in every aspect, then the guaranteed bi-product - I’ll get everything in life I’ll ever need!
